Peterboro Basket Company began back in 1854 when Amzi Childs wove the first basket on Depot Street in the Town of Peterborough, New Hampshire. The wood used in this handcrafted basket is Appalachian white ash, a New England hardwood. Peterboro has more than 150 years of crafting fine New England ash baskets.
